Fingers crossed that no one reads this introduction, but I suppose it's a necessary formality to make one of these after creating a blog so here goes. I love films. Not so much the technicalities of film, but the themes, symbolism and doors they open for interpretation. I'm not much of a "critic" per se, so I suppose I'll be analyzing films rather than traditionally "reviewing" them. I'm also not a skilled writer by any means, and I'm not some elite intellectual who claims to know every facet there is to know about the "art of filmmaking". So don't expect anything of NY Times caliber.
I'm just here to share a little perspective on films that I come across and if anyone happens to discover my modest little blog, just remember that art is essentially open to interpretation and I can't guarantee that my own personal interpretations will match many others. This is just for fun and leisure after all; I'm not particularly looking for followers or visitors. Not just yet, anyway.
And if anyone was wondering, the blog's title derives from one of my favorite films, The Lost Weekend. Cheers.
